Warteschleifen am Telefon. E-Mails, auf die tagelang keine Antwort kommt. Formulare, die irgendwo versanden. Das hat mich so lange genervt, bis ich dachte: Da muss man etwas machen. Daraus ist edelstein.ai entstanden.

Phone queues. Emails that go unanswered for days. Forms that disappear into a void. It annoyed me for long enough that I decided someone had to do something about it. That's how edelstein.ai started.

What I Build

Voicebots, Chatbots und Workflows, die Anfragen sofort annehmen, verstehen und dorthin bringen, wo sie bearbeitet werden. Beim Zweiradhändler Eggimoto geht der Voicebot „Jay“ ans Telefon, rund 1.000 Anrufe im Monat. Beim Ostpreußischen Landesmuseum in Lüneburg laufen Buchungsanfragen ohne Hin und Her bis zur Bestätigung durch.

Voicebots, chatbots, and workflows that pick up requests right away, understand them, and route them to where they get handled. At the two-wheeler dealer Eggimoto, the voicebot "Jay" answers the phone, around 1,000 calls a month. At the Ostpreußisches Landesmuseum in Lüneburg, booking requests run through to confirmation without the usual back and forth.

What I Believe

KI verändert gerade alles, und am stärksten die Software selbst. Am Ende wird fast alles zur Schnittstelle: der Anruf, die Kundenanfrage, die Abstimmung im Team. Und viele Unternehmen werden ihre Software künftig selbst bauen, statt sich nach Standardprodukten zu richten. Wer heute anfängt, seine Abläufe ansprechbar zu machen, hat dann einen Vorsprung.

AI is changing everything right now, and software most of all. In the end almost everything becomes an interface: the phone call, the customer request, the coordination inside a team. And many companies will build their own software instead of bending to off-the-shelf products. Whoever starts making their processes addressable today will have a head start.

Woher ich komme

Where I Come From

Studiert habe ich Flugzeugbau. Bei der Deutschen Bahn habe ich in Infrastrukturprojekten die Einführung von Jira begleitet und dabei gelernt, dass ein neues Werkzeug wenig ändert, solange niemand auf die Abläufe dahinter schaut. Heute arbeite ich außerdem als Associate Project Manager bei Körber Pharma Software.

I studied aerospace engineering. At Deutsche Bahn I supported the rollout of Jira in infrastructure projects and learned that a new tool changes little as long as nobody looks at the processes behind it. Today I also work as an Associate Project Manager at Körber Pharma Software.

Vieles davon betreibe ich selbst: auf Linux, virtualisiert mit Proxmox, in Docker-Containern. Wer Abläufe ansprechbar machen will, sollte auch die Maschinen darunter kennen.
